Completely Spring with Thro’ all the brightness of life’s glad day and I’m but a stranger here

Thro’ all the brightness of life’s glad day,
Thro’ all the darkness of battle fray;
Telling the pow’r of our Christ to save,
True to the faith! let our colors wave.

In the front ranks let our place be found,
Where the most sorrow and sin abound;
Where we are needed, in ev’ry land,
True to the faith! may our banner stand.

Lord, where Thou leadest, we gladly go,
Fearless and dauntless to face the foe;
By Thine own love from sin’s pow’r set free,
True to the faith! shall our standard be.

Chorus
True to the faith, when the storm is high,
True to the faith, when defeat seems nigh;
True to the faith!  be our battle cry,
I have kept the faith.

Elizabeth M. Clark

I’m but a stranger here,
     Heav’n is my home;
Earth is a desert drear,
     Heav’n is my home;
Danger and sorrow stand
Round me on ev’ry hand,
Heav’n is my fatherland,
     Heav’n is my home.

What tho’ the tempest rage,
     Heav’n is my home;
Short is my pilgrimage,
     Heav’n is my home;
And time’s wild wintry blast
Soon shall be overpast,
I shall reach home at last,
     Heav’n is my home.

There at my Savior’s side,
     Heav’n is my home;
I shall be glorified,
     Heav’n is my home;
There are the good and blest,
Those I love most and best;
And there I too shall rest,
     Heav’n is my home.

Therefore I murmur not,
     Heaven is my home;
Whate’er my earthly lot,
     Heaven is my home;
And I shall surely stand
There at my Lord’s right hand;
Heaven is my fatherland,
     Heaven is my home.

Thomas R. Taylor
